EuroShop 2026 – One of the World’s Most Important Retail Trade Shows in Düsseldorf

In February 2026, EuroShop 2026 was once again held in Düsseldorf, widely considered one of the most important professional events for retail and commerce innovation worldwide. The exhibition takes place every five years (currently on a three-year cycle) and brings together key players in the retail industry – technology companies, store designers, marketing experts, hospitality solution providers, and of course innovators building the stores of the future.

The 2026 event lasted five days at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, where more than 1,800 exhibitors and around 81,000 professional visitors gathered from over 140 countries.

This massive international presence clearly shows that the future of the retail industry is increasingly global and technology-driven.

What is EuroShop about?

EuroShop is not just a trade show – it is more like a global meeting place for the future of retail.

Key areas presented at the exhibition include:

  • retail technology and digital solutions
  • store design and shopfitting
  • automation and AI-based retail systems
  • sustainable store concepts
  • marketing and customer experience
  • hospitality and food service solutions

The world of retail is changing rapidly: a modern store today is no longer just shelves and a checkout counter. Data-driven systems, intelligent cameras, digital displays, and automated warehouse solutions now play a major role in improving the customer experience.

Many of these innovations are first introduced at events like EuroShop.

Interesting facts about EuroShop

  • The first EuroShop exhibition was held in 1966.
  • The exhibition covers more than 100,000 m² of exhibition space.
  • Around two-thirds of visitors come from abroad, making it a truly global professional event.
  • Participants include startups, multinational companies, and innovation labs.

In many ways, the event is a “global retail festival”, where technology, design, and business strategy come together.

Coffee and hospitality: part of the retail experience

At international trade fairs like this, one thing is always the same:
people meet, talk, and build relationships.

And that almost always requires a good coffee.

At modern exhibitions and business events, coffee is not just a drink – it is part of the overall experience. A good espresso or cappuccino is often the perfect setting for a spontaneous business conversation.

That is why hospitality and coffee culture are becoming increasingly important at events:

  • barista stands at exhibition booths
  • specialty coffee service at networking events
  • coffee used as a brand experience at stands

This is the philosophy we also represent: coffee helps build connections, whether at conferences, expos, or business meetings.

Why is EuroShop important?

EuroShop is special because it showcases not only products, but also the future models of commerce.

Here you can find:

  • technology companies
  • retail chains
  • hospitality providers
  • designers
  • marketing professionals

This community collectively shapes how we will shop over the next 10–20 years.

And although the world of retail is becoming increasingly digital, one thing remains unchanged:

people still enjoy talking and doing business over a great cup of coffee.
